How to Publish on CrazyGames: Basic vs Full Launch, SDK, Rejections

CrazyGames reviews every submission and launches games in two stages. Everything below comes from the CrazyGames docs unless noted otherwise.

The process

  1. Submit your web build, game metadata (description, instructions, thumbnails) and cover art and trailer through the Developer Portal. You can preview your game there first (FAQ).
  2. Initial QA: the team plays each submission.
  3. Basic Launch: a soft launch to a limited audience. It ends once the game has been live at least 7 days and reached 500 plays, or after 21 days if it hasn't.
  4. Full Launch: if the metrics benchmark well (average playtime, conversion to gameplay, retention), you're invited to complete the Full Implementation. It gets another QA review, then a global release with monetization switched on.

Why ads are off in Basic Launch

CrazyGames says ads are disabled during Basic Launch to reduce friction in early testing, to keep engagement metrics free of ad interruptions, and to measure true player interest. Ads stay disabled in Basic Launch even if you integrate them (FAQ, technical requirements). In practice that means you earn nothing during Basic Launch. One developer posted that his game had "earned $0 so far, because CrazyGames keeps ads off during the Basic Launch" (post on X; anecdotal).

Do you need the SDK?

It's optional for Basic Launch and required for Full Launch, where it unlocks ads, analytics, cloud saves and social features (FAQ).

Common rejection reasons

CrazyGames lists these (FAQ):

You can resubmit a rejected game after making meaningful improvements. Developers on X have reported approvals after several rejections (anecdotal).

At least 7 days and 500 plays. If a game does not reach 500 plays, the period ends after 21 days.

Why was my game rejected by CrazyGames?
